Driving innovation in healthspan research

The Vitality Healthspan Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works with scientists to ensure the most promising healthspan research receives the funding it needs.
2 billion+

people suffer from chronic diseases

70%

of all deaths are caused by chronic diseases

150,000

people die every day by degenerative diseases

95%

Of the 10,000 known human diseases are classified as rare

The Vitality Healthspan Foundation supports organizations and projects that:

Develop tools that bring insight into longitudinal data on aging
Work
collaboratively, with data stakeholders to provide open access
to data. Decentralize
therapeutics and data in healthspan reasearch
Leverage aggregate data to drive
hyper-personalized care
Use data mining and analysis to identify causes of illness

Center  data-driven medical and pharmacological research to cure disease and discover new treatments and medicines
Monitor big data to identify disease trends and health strategies based on demographics, geography, and socioeconomics
Understand what
biological changes over time represent in terms of disease

CASE STUDY
What if data lost in biopharma R&D inefficiencies could be used to target the root cause of age-related diseases?

It presently takes billions of dollars and over a decade of research, development and clinical trials to bring a drug to market. Pharmaceutical companies running clinical trials don’t have the ability or incentive to test the efficacy of a treatment beyond the scope of a drug’s intended use case.

These drugs may have possible applications in treating other diseases. They may also have negative life-altering long-term outcomes. Without further research we can’t know. Vitality Healthspan Foundation is partnering with organizations such as
VitaDAO and Molecule to help overcome barriers to support and finance new therapeutics and research data in the longevity space.
